As long-time members of the Massachusetts Cheese Guild, we’re committed to supporting our neighbors across the Commonwealth who make extraordinary cheese. Massachusetts is the birthplace not only of American Democracy, but also of American artisanal cheese! The first dairy cows to reach the shores of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1624 were the foundation of today’s dairy herds, and for years, Cheddar-style cheeses were a critical part of trade in Boston harbor.
